Uber Replaces Lyft as Delta SkyMiles Partner

Delta Air Lines (DAL) customers will be able to earn SkyMiles when ordering an Uber (UBER) ride to the airport, than�🌸�ks to a new partnership in the U.S. between the companies starting in the spring.

Users will earn one mile per dollar spent on UberX rides to and from airports. According to Uber in an announcement Wednesday, 15% of its rides are booked to or from an airport. Last year, the company introduced Uber Shuttle, which runs from LaGuardia Airport in New York to various travel hubs in the city. 

Delta customers also will get two miles per dollar on any premium 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:Uber ride option, and three miles per dollar spent on Uber Reserve. Customers will also receive one mile per dollar on Uber Eats restaurant and grocery orders of $40 or more.

Delta's Uber Deal Ends Tie-Up with Lyft

Delta’s deal with Uber ends the airline’s SkyMiles partnership with 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:Uber rival Lyft (LYFT), which was established in 2017. A Lyft spokesperson said Wednesday that the company is “continuing to expand our horizons by joining forces with major brands who share our customer obsession.” That includes Alaska Airlines, which partnered with Lyft in 2022.

Uber had 161 million monthly active users as of the end of the third quarter, while Lyft had 24.4 million.

Separately, Delta announced an agreement Wednesday with Alphabet's YouTube that will allow SkyMiles members to watch and listen to ad-free content onboard its flights.
