The latest in🌌terest ratꦺe decision from the Federal Reserve hasn’t reset the Trump-Powell relationship.

President Donald Trump, in a Thursday morning message on Truth Social, called Fed Chair Jerome Powell a “fool,” responding publicly to the U.S. central bank’s decision Wednesday to keep interest rates unchanged.

Powell has said the Fed is waiting to see how Trump’s trade policy will ultimately affect the economy before changing rates for the first time since December. At a press conference Wednesday, Powell said that if large tariff increases are sustained, they will likely spark inflation and unemployment.

However, Trump has been 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:pressuring the Fed to cut rates for weeks, comparing them to their 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:counterparts in other countries. Later on Thursday, during a press conference announcing a new trade d🔥eal with the U.K., he renewed 🐎those comparisons.

"The Bank of England cut, China cut, everybody's cutting but (Powell)," Trump said. "It's a shame, it's ridiculous. He's always too late, but in this case, it's not going to matter that much, because we're so powerful in terms of economic strength."

Trump has been vocal in his 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:criticism of Powell, but said he does not plan to try to remove the Fed chair before his term ends in 2026. The notion that he might do so has 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:concerned some market watchers.
